Paradise (What About Us?) – Within Temptation – ft. Tarja

There’s no sense, the fire burns
When wisdom fails it changes all
The wheel embodies all that keeps on turning

Blood red skies, I feel so cold
No innocence, we play our role
The wheel embodies all where are we going

All in all you’d expect the wise to be wiser
Fallen from grace
All and all I guess
We should have known better, ’cause…

What about us?
Isn’t it enough,
No we’re not in Paradise

This is who we are
This is what we got
No, this is not our Paradise

But it’s all we want,
And all that we’re fighting for
Though it’s not paradise

You and us, or I and them
There comes a time to take a stand
The wheel is watching all, it keeps on burning

The venom works, it’s like a curse
A Trojan horse, when will we learn?
The wheel embodies all, that keeps returning

All in all you’d expect the wise to be wiser
Fallen from grace
All and all I guess
We should have known better, ’cause…
What about us?
Isn’t it enough,
No we’re not in Paradise
This is who we are
This is what we got
No, this is not our Paradise
But it’s all we want,
And all that we’re fighting for
Though it’s not paradise

All in all you’d expect the wise to be wiser
Fallen from grace
All and all I guess
We should have known better, ’cause…
What about us?
Isn’t it enough,
No we’re not in Paradise
This is who we are
This is what we got
No, this is not our Paradise
But it’s all we want,
And all that we’re fighting for
Though it’s not paradise

Tarja "Victim Of Ritual" Official Music Video from "Colours in The Dark"

Black eyes, and hardly breathing
When there’s no light
You sacrifice
A war amongst the living
You lost the fight
Before the fall
How did you end up in hell?

Hysterical, tragical
Victim of ritual
Cynical, critical
Victim of ritual
She’s a killer, killer
She’s a killer, killer

Cloacked eyes for every scene
they try to hide
in thin disguise
tonight your soul from singing
the darkest light
The night you died

How did you end up in hell?

Hysterical, tragical
Victim of ritual
Cynical, critical
Victim of ritual
She’s a killer, killer
She’s a killer, killer

Anemona, where’s your heart from
Anemona, where’s your heart from

Hysterical, tragical
Victim of ritual
Cynical, critical
Victim of ritual
She’s a killer, killer
She’s a killer, killer

Tarja "Never Enough" Official Lyric Video – Teaser Song from "Colours In The Dark"

Mixed by Tim Palmer in Austin, Texas (Pearl Jam, U2), the songs on “Colours In The Dark” do not shy away from taking a risk and surprising musical turns, introducing new sounds and new musical atmospheres. Still, they maintain a heaviness that will surely bring a big smile to the hardest of rockers.
With its grand orchestra and choir arrangements, Tarja’s next milestone emphasises once again the impressive vocal range of the Finnish artist and shows her artistic growth.
With ten brand new songs and over one hour of music, “Colours In The Dark” is definitely going to be one of the brightest moments for rock in 2013.
Tarja will perform the songs from “Colours In The Dark Tour 2013” starting with her forthcoming tour in Europe.

Metal Shock Finland reports:

“On Wednesday (November 28th), singer TARJA TURUNEN (ex-NIGHTWISH) published on her official Facebook page, a picture which caused a wild rumor mill. In the picture (see below) she holds in her arms a small baby.

“Is time to go to the airport. In few days a new tour will start in Germany 🙂 It will be a very special one for us indeed. See you all very soon!”, Turunen wrote.

Now Turunen’s spokeswoman confirms that the woman in the picture is really Tarja Turunen, with her husband Marcelo Cabulin‘s child.

“The baby is their biological child”, Turunen spokeswoman Taija Holm confirms to Iltalehti.

The former Nightwish singer managed to keep secret her pregnancy, up to the end.”

“Ideje elindulni a reptérre. Pár nap múlva indul az új turné Németországban. Ez tényleg egy különleges körút lesz.” – írta Tarja a fotó mellé.

Gratulálunk nekik a babához!

Ami Tarja új szólóalbumát illeti, azon továbbra is folyik a munka, a lemez megjelenése a jövő nyár végére várható.

In For A Kill – Tarja Turunen – Act 1

We can fight our desires
But when we start making fires
We get ever so hot
Whether we like it or not
They say we can love who we trust
But what is love without lust?
Two hearts with accurate devotions
And what are feelings without emotions?
I’m going in for the kill
I’m doing it for a thrill
Oh I’m hoping you’ll understand
And not let go of my hand
(x2)

I hang my hopes out on the line
Will they be ready for you in time
If you leave them out too long
They’ll be withered by the sun
Full stops and exclamation marks
My words stumble before I start
How far can you send emotions?
Can this bridge cross the ocean?

I’m going in for the kill

I’m doing it for a thrill

Oh I’m hoping you’ll understand
And not let go of my hand
(x2)

Let’s go to war
To make peace
Let’s be cold
To create heat
I hope in darkness
We can see
And you’re not blinded by the light from me

I’m going in for the kill
I’m doing it for a thrill
Oh I’m hoping you’ll understand
And not let go of my hand
